Does LocalBrain send my data to the cloud?
No. LocalBrain runs AI inference on-device. Conversations, files, and knowledge base content stay on your device and are not uploaded to any third-party cloud AI service.
Why does LocalBrain download a model on first launch?
The download is only for Gemma model weights. User data is not uploaded during this process. After the model is stored locally, AI features run on your device.
Which file formats can I add to the knowledge base?
PDF, TXT, Markdown, plain text paste, and web URLs are supported.
The AI response is slow. What can I do?
On-device AI performance depends on your device and available memory. Close other apps, let the device cool down if it is warm, and try a narrower query or smaller import.
How do I request a refund?
